So the Stolen Sidekick story doesn't appear to be dead just yet - Evan (the guy who started the site) put the device up on eBay as a benefit auction for charity - and the winning bidder lied to him, told him that it was his (the winner's) 14yo son that placed the bid (eBay says he's still on the hook), and then threatened to sue Evan after multiple attempts to get payment for the auction.
Can you say "Unclear on the Concept"? I didn't see the auction myself, since I don't have nearly enough money to waste it on a Sidekick, but didn't pretty much EVERYONE hear about this guy and his website? I mean, hey, ignorance is a good excuse, but this is akin to looking up in the sky and being surprised that the Sun is up there.
If we're lucky, we may just see another site coming off of Evans' presses - How Not To Cheat In An eBay Auction!
